To get the moon, use Cappy to take over a Goomba, then jump on top of another goomba to stack them. A while ago I worked on a fork of the Goomba Color emulator that lets you play GB/C games off of a GBA cartridge, calling it Jagoomba Color. The hat-wearing goomba is usually on a higher level or platform.
